Funkwerk & Hima-Sella renew strong partnership to 2012
January 2010
|
Hima-Sella is to extend its successful partnership with Funkwerk Information Technologies for two more years, up to 2012, to offer design, engineering, manufacturing, installation and service of Customer Information (CIS) and Public Address (PA) systems to the UK rail market.
Hima-Sella and Funkwerk have worked closely together since January 2008 and have now established a combined position as a premier supplier to the UK CIS market. Moving forward, Hima-Sella and Funkwerk will be introducing new technologies, to further strengthen their presence in the CIS market and extend their combined client base.
Over the last two years, Hima-Sella has expanded its rail engineering capability in support of the partnership with Funkwerk, recruiting specialist project and services engineers. Having a UK-based engineering resource to project manage and assist engineering teams has been invaluable in the completion of two recent projects; a 53-station system for Northern Rail and the expansion of a 30-station system for First Capital Connect. As well as having success with these two projects, Funkwerk’s CAIMAN Customer Information System Software achieved full Network Rail product acceptance in August 2009.
Hima-Sella Managing Director Ian Wright comments, “We’re delighted that Funkwerk Information Technologies Karlsfeld continues in partnership with Hima-Sella in the UK CIS market. We’re looking forward to building on the significant successes we’ve achieved in the last two years.”
Funkwerk Information Technology Managing Director Manfred Schmidt comments, “We are proud of having Hima-Sella as our partner in the UK CIS market. Together with their expertise in the market and technology we demonstrate a unique partnership to serve the UK CIS market.”
