|
Following the successful management buy in of Hima-Sella mid-year, the Stockport company has announced that the senior management team is to be strengthened to support the company’s ambitious growth plans.
Roger Watson joins the firm from Siemens Transportation Systems to expand the Automation department. Reporting to Jim Hibbert, in his new role as principal engineer and SCADA expert Roger will be focussing on the evaluation of third party packages for use in Hima-Sella systems. He brings a wealth of experience to Hima-Sella, having worked closely with Network Rail for 15 years in the supply of distribution and control systems. More recently Roger has been involved in the East Coast Mainline project and the power supply upgrade for the Southern Region.
Mark Haslam joins the Technical Support group in the role of commissioning and site support engineer. Further appointments to this group will be made this autumn in order to meet the demand that the company’s continuing success has created.
Janet Smith is appointed as marketing manager, reporting to sales and marketing director Eddy Turnock and Ian Parry, who was so successful as a safety advisor at Offshore Europe, has been given a more prominent role as a functional safety specialist. Ian Parry is President Elect of the ISA (Instrumentation, Systems & Automation Society) Executive Committee.
New managing director Ian Wright said, “After only a few months, the business outlook for the rest of the year for Hima-Sella is very positive indeed. Boosting the senior team is only the start, helping us to begin to meet current market opportunities and provide a greater level of technical expertise on client projects. Our future vision for this business is beginning to take shape and that’s a very exciting prospect for everyone in the company.”
