Hima-Sella supplied a Fire and Gas Detection System to Analytical Process and Control Limited (ACT) in the UK. The system comprises of the HIMA HIMatrix PLC and is certified to SIL3 according to IEC61508.

The Fire and Gas application is positioned in the analyser house on the Total Fina Elf Refinery at Milford Haven and forms part of the huge site overhaul currently being undertaken since it was confirmed in 2003 that the site would continue operations.

Detailed engineering, procurement, and construction management have since commenced to improve the energy efficiency at Milford Haven, demonstrating the long-term sustainable operations which are to continue at the plant.
